sun over the oceanWhen you imagine Tahiti, we’re sure you picture bright, golden sunshine, a gentle breeze, warm nights, and a sky full of fluffy white clouds with not a drop of rain between them.

While it’s true that the island’s beauty is otherworldly, Tahiti is very much part of our reality, and not every day can be perfect. If you’re considering booking a trip to Tahiti, some seasons are better to visit than others.

Humidity and Rainfall in Tahiti

While the temperature hovers between the upper 60s and lower 80s year-round, the humidity is nearly always just under 80% (77% on average) which makes it feel warmer than it actually is.  June is Tahiti’s most humid month, while September is the least humid month.

Additionally, November through April is Tahiti’s rainy season, averaging 6-10 days of rain per month. May through October is the dryer season with only 3-5 rainy days per month. Even the rainiest of months have tons of sun, they’re just peppered with a few more showers and downpours. Even if it does rain during your trip, you can still enjoy a multitude of activities like:

    • Getting pampered at a local spa
    • Visiting the Museum of Tahiti and Her Islands
    • Participating in  a wine tasting
    • Taking a Tahitian dance lesson
    • Relaxing in your bungalow and tuning into the power of Mana
